Born and raised in Nebraska, Lanny has lived in Lincoln since 1994.

• Graduate of Allen High School (Allen, Nebraska)
• Four of Beth and Lanny's children are LPS graduates, the fifth is a student at East High School
• Lanny works for NRC Health, formerly National Research Corporation
• Lanny has lived in LPS District 5 for over twenty years
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, California Institute of Technology
