Born and raised in Nebraska, Lanny has lived in Lincoln since 1994.

• Graduate of Allen High School (Allen, Nebraska)
• Lanny's five children are all LPS graduates, and all attended UNL
• Lanny has lived in LPS District 5 for over twenty years
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, California Institute of Technology
